Description

Ciranda's organic honey is a polyfloral wildflower honey that is collected by beekeepers throughout the mountainous regions of northeast and southeast Brazil. Honey is a critical source of income for beekeepers in this remote region. It is light amber in color with a pleasant honey flavor.

Honey is a versatile ingredient that has been harvested for thousands of years. It provides a readily available source of carbohydrates, and functions as a binder, browning agent and natural mold inhibitor. Applications include bakery and snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, confections, frozen dessert and sweet spreads to name a few. Honey can be found in chewable supplements and lozenges. In the personal care industry, honey is used to create bodycare products that nourish and protect.
